We aim to be highly-accessible by means of simplicity and clean, semantic html markup. Proper ARIA, mostly implicit, is implemented and we adjusted our typography to match WCAG thresholds. The website frontend was tested during development without the use of a mouse, keyboard navigation only, to account for the actual experience of prospective users. We included skip buttons pointing to canonical in-page landmarks. If we did something wrong or for any suggestions, kindly email us at a11y.com
Internationalization
All content is bilingual, with the Romanian version at standard.ro and the english version at romania.st. Switching between the two versions may be done using the pill-toggle below the main logo.
Bylines and datelines
All articles feature a byline that links to the detailed author bio and a dateline that includes location and published date. Location can be further split if the reporter was writing from a different geographic place than the one that the story focuses on. An updated date may also be added if meaningful change was done later. Whenever an editor contributed meaningfully to the story – either at the time of publishing or later – a tagline is added crediting them as well.
